Police recover stolen vehicles, nab five suspects in Kano

The police command in Kano State has recovered three stolen motor vehicles and arrested five suspects in connection with armed robbery and motor vehicle theft in different parts of the state.

The recovered vehicles include a Toyota Corolla, a Honda Pilot Jeep, and a Toyota Sienna.

This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, in Kano on Wednesday.

Mr Kiyawa said the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) intercepted a stolen Toyota Corolla along Hotoro NNPC roundabout on January 3, 2026, and arrested a suspect.

He explained that further investigations led to the arrest of four additional suspects and the recovery of the Honda Pilot Jeep, property of  Bauchi State Government.

The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, commended the officers for their dedication and commitment to duty, and thanked the public for their support and cooperation.
