The Zamfara government says it has provided e-governance infrastructure to optimise service delivery for workers.
The secretary to the state government, Abubakar Nakwada, gave the indication while inspecting the final phase of the upgraded 30-year-old Jibrin Bala Yakubu Secretariat complex in Gusau, according to a statement on Tuesday.

Mr Nakwada stated that by delivering an upgraded secretariat, fitted with solar-powered and internet infrastructure, the state is set to deliver services through e-governance, which is fast, efficient, and effective.

He said the final of three three-phase secretariat complexes had been completed and would soon be put back into use, according to the state government plan.

According to him, the renovation undertaken by Sources Plus Nigeria Limited is now 100 percent complete, and furniture is being installed in phase III of the complex, which is expected to be occupied within the coming weeks.

The SSG expressed confidence in the timeline while urging the contractor to address minor observations to ensure compliance with standards.

Governor Dauda Lawal had earlier inaugurated the first and second phases of the project, which are now fully operational with solar power and Wi-fi connectivity, enhancing service delivery to the people.

The secretariat complex had languished without renovations since it was constructed 30 years ago, despite hosting major state government ministries, departments, and agencies.

The government said that the modern office infrastructure would provide the workforce with a conducive environment to optimise  productivity and enhance service delivery.
