Kano: Gezawa residents warned about fire outbreak during harmattan

The Kano State Fire Service said it has sensitised residents of Gezawa LGA in Kano to preventive measures against fire outbreaks during the harmattan season.
The divisional commander, Rabiu Mansur, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
“The sensitisation was conducted as part of the service’s ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property across the state.
“Residents should take extreme caution in handling fire and flammable materials, especially during the harmattan period, as dry weather conditions increase the risk of fire incidents,” it said.
It urged the residents to promptly report any fire outbreak or emergency to the Kano State Fire Service through its emergency lines: 08107888878 or 07026026400.
“The Service reaffirmed its commitment to continue public enlightenment and rapid emergency response to reduce fire-related incidents across the state,” the statement noted.
