Secretary to the Nasarawa state government, Labaran Magaji, has urged Renewed Hope ambassadors to intensify mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

Mr Magaji, who is also the state coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, stated this while receiving the Asiwaju People’s Choice Project for 2027, a political support group for the president, on Thursday in Lafia.

He urged all All Progressives Congress support groups in the state to take advantage of the ongoing party’s e-registration to register and woo new members.

The renewed hope coordinator stated that APC in the state was poised to rewrite history and win the 2027 presidential election.

He, however, said that the process of changing the narrative of losing the presidential election in the state begins with the ongoing APC e-registration and adequate grassroots mobilisation to participate in the exercise.

“Nasarawa state has a record of the ruling party not winning elections at the presidential level. Now, with the combination of all of us as ambassadors for Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda 2027, I’m optimistic that for the first time, APC will deliver 100 per cent at the presidential level.

“We have a task ahead of us; the number one litmus test is the ongoing e-registration of our party. If we can do our e-registration and intensify mobilisation, I’m sure today alone, we’ll have thousands of people who are already registered,” he said.

Mr Magaji stated that the state government would provide the necessary support to ensure that APC members and intending members have easy access to a national identification number to successfully complete their e-registration.

“The registration, as of this morning in Nasarawa State, is not too encouraging. As the renewed hope ambassador, I’m able to tell you that the benefits any state is going to get from the party will be determined by the number of people you have.

“Then, it means we have to do much more than we are doing so that in the coming days, we should be able to see that Nasarawa state is topping the North-Central and topping Northern Nigeria; that’s our target,” he said.

Mr Magaji commended Tinubu’s economic reforms, especially the removal of subsidies, which, he said, had hitherto benefited only a few individuals in the country.

“President Tinubu has done so much for Nasarawa state. All that our government has achieved in terms of infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment, amongst others, was made possible by the instrumentality of his economic reform.

“And as God will have it, we have a visionary governor, Abdullahi Sule, who is extremely responsible, knowledgeable, and prudent in the financial management, and who has the idea to champion the leadership of the state,” he said.

While thanking the group for the visit, the renewed hope ambassador assured them that all support groups for APC and Tinubu would be carried along as soon as the renewed hope structure fully took off in the state.

The coordinator of Asiwaju People’s Choice Project for 2027 in the state, Mohammed Liman, said that he came to seek a partnership with the Office of the Renewed Hope Agenda for Tinubu 2027 to galvanise support for Mr Tinubu and APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mr Liman, while commending Mr Tinubu and Sule’s leadership in economic reforms, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment, said that his group would mobilise support to ensure their victory in the state in the 2027 general elections.
