Father blames Lagos health centre for death of nine-month-old twins hours after vaccination

A father, Alozie Promise, has lamented the death last Christmas Day of his nine-month-old twin, hours after they were vaccinated by a nurse at a Lagos State Government-run Primary Healthcare Centre in Ajangbadi, Ojo Local Government Area of the state.
The hearbroken 30-year-old father in a now viral video on his TikTok page @promise.samuel099, also stated that the medical officer, without his knowledge, also administered a worm expeller on the twins christened Chukwubike Promise and Chukwuebuka Promise.
Blaming the state government for his plight, the grieving father who claimed his twins were in good health before visiting the health centre on Christmas Eve, said that he suspected that the nurse either administered an overdose or fake drugs on his twins.
Narrating his ordeal, he said, “The health centre is at Ajangbadi Primary Healthcare Center, Ajangbadi, Ojo Local Government Area, Lagos State. It happened that the immunisation was conducted on 24th of December in the morning, and in the morning 25th of December, they died. On that 24th, after their injection, they were very weak, and I gave them paracetamol because the nurse said if the temperature continues, I should give them paracetamol. I and my wife, after we left the health centre, we went home and gave the two of them paracetamol which didn’t solve anything. My wife bathed them cold water. After that, on 25th morning, two of them died the same time. The worst part of it is the drug weakened the two of them that they can’t talk, eat, play as usual, or disturb like they use to do. I guess maybe this is overdose or it is fake drugs. You can’t tell me that my children that weren’t sick, were strong and sound, went for immunisation, and then coming back, they are dead.”
He also noted that the nurse who usually administered injection on them was not the one who attended to them that day, adding “the woman that has been giving us (the children) injection, is not the woman that gave us the injection that day, another face. This woman that gave us (children) injection, the nurse is even talking (sic) that the injection she gave them is what government prescribed for her to give. What about the tablet drug, you said you gave them two worm medicine to deworm my children, and you didn’t ask me, did I tell you that my children are having worm problem or did I tell you to give them worm medicine? No!”
Calling for justice on the matter, the distraught father said he had buried the twins, stating that “I know their spirit is still not at peace because they died untimely death, and their death was caused by the government. If they like, let them do anything, I’ll be saying it, government has killed my nine-month-old twins with their fake injection and fake vaccine.”
He disclosed that he had stopped working because of the loss, noting that the owner of the house he resides just told him of plans to renovate the building, adding that he knew that the state government would not get him the justice.
Mr Promise stated, “Mothers that are planning to take their children for immunisation, let them be careful, they are not using better thngs. I know that they will manipulate this result. They are using fake drugs and fake vaccines, I know they will manipulate it to their own favour. The nurse is saying it’s food bacteria that killed my children. Food that I’ve been giving my children from one to nine months, didn’t kill them, but it’s now that the food killed them? How’s that possible?
He also called on human rights lawyers and celebrities to come to his aid.
