NDA warns public to avoid range area as cadets’ shooting competition holds today

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), has said it is conducting a Brigade Inter-Battalion Shooting Competition for cadets of 73 Regular Course on Saturday.
The academy’s spokesperson Maj. Reuben Kovangiya, made the announcement in a statement on Friday .
Mr Kovangiya advised public to avoid the shooting range area.
He said, “NDA wishes to inform the public especially the inhabitants of Mando,Tsamiya, Kauya and Afaka general area that it will be conducting Cadets Brigade Inter-Battalion shooting competition for Cadets of 73 Regular Course Army.”
According to him, the exercise holds today
at the NDA Open Range, Afaka.
He stated, “The NDA assures the public that all necessary safety measures had been emplaced for the successful conduct of the exercise. However, the public is advised to avoid trespassing the general area throughout the period of the exercise. Please accept the assurances and best regards of the Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy, Maj.-General Oluyemi Olatoye.”
