Naira gains N1.33 against dollar to close week

The Naira on Friday, closed the week stronger further appreciating against the U.S. dollar at the official market to trade at N1,417.94.
According to data released on the official website of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the naira gained N1.33.
This represents a 0.09 per cent gain compared to Thursday, when it traded at N1,419.28 to a dollar.
The naira which has remained relatively stable due to CBN reforms, experienced weeklong gain.
On Monday and Tuesday, it traded at N1,421.45 and N1,419.65, representing a N1.79 gain.
The naira had earlier opened the trading week on Monday, with gain of N1.70.
However, the local currency recorded slight loss of 37 kobo on Wednesday, when it traded at N1,420.03.
The naira bounced back on Thursday with 75 kobo gain, before closing the week stronger on Friday.
