Red Devils beat Man City, dash title dreams

Manchester United beat Manchester City 2-0 in their English Premier League encounter on Saturday, dashing City’s title hopes and creating room for league leaders Arsenal to widen their lead margin.
United ended City’s 13-match unbeaten run, handing City a defeat at Old Trafford and moving into the top four.
Coming off an EFL defeat to Brighton, United put up a brilliant performance to grab all three points at Old Trafford, pushing Arsenal behind.
Though Harry Maguire hit the crossbar, VAR disallowed goals by Amad and Bruno Fernandes for offside, and both sides went into the first-half break goalless.
But Bryan Mbeumo broke the deadlock for United with a calm finish in the 65th, sparking jubilation at Old Trafford.
Patrick Dorgu doubled United’s lead in the 75th minute with a close-range finish, causing a setback to City in their chase for the title this season.
City are now six points behind Arsenal with 43 points in 22 games. Arsenal have 49 points in 21 games so far. A victory for Arsenal against Nottingham Forest on Saturday will see them open a nine-point lead.
