Council Election: Group mobilises support for APC candidate

The FCT Renewed Hope coordinator, Abdullahi Candido, has called on Kwali council residents to give maximum support to All Progressives Congress chairmanship candidate, Nuhu Kwali, in the forthcoming FCT council elections.
Mr Candido made the call during the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ grassroots sensitisation visit to voters in the area on Tuesday.
The election is slated for February 21 across the six councils.
“This visit is aimed at engaging women, men, and support groups of the Council to vote for the candidate and ensure their vote counts. The massive turnout of supporters is encouraging.
“It depicts happiness for what President Bola Tinubu is doing in the FCT. With the turnout of these supporters, I am optimistic that on February 21, the Kwali area council will deliver to our candidate,” Mr Candido said.
One of the ambassadors in Kwali, Jibril Yewuti, appealed to the supporters to deliver the APC candidate. He said that it would attract more development to the council.
Mr Yewuti said that the construction of roads in the council by the present administration was a sign that the administration had the interests of the electorate at heart.
He assured the supporters that their votes would count.
Also, APC vice-chairmanship candidate, Abdullahi Ramatu, while thanking the Renewed Hope Ambassador’s team for their visit, said APC was ready to deliver in Kwali.
She said that the party would deliver not only the council election but also the senatorial and presidential elections in 2027.
