Super Eagles player Chukwueze loses mother days after death of teammate Ndidi’s father

The mother of Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has died after a long sickness, days after captain Wilfred Ndidi lost his father in a car accident.

Super Eagles’ media officer, Promise Efoghe, confirmed the development to Peoples Gazette on Thursday.

According to reports, Chukwueze’s mum had been sick for sometime, with the player having to continue playing for Fulham and the Super Eagles throughout the time.

The development is the latest news to hit the camp of the Nigeria senior national team after Ndidi lost his father to car accident in Delta State on Tuesday.

Reports noted that Mr Ndidi, who is a retired military officer, was in Umunede town in the State when he was struck by a car. 

He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Agbor, where he was declared dead.
