Gov. Okpebholo reshuffles cabinet

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo has approved a minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council.
This is contained in a statement signed by Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government(SSG), on Friday in Benin
Mr Ikhilor said the move was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, enhance service delivery, and promote greater efficiency in the administration of state affairs.
“In furtherance of this decision, the following changes have been approved: Mr Vincent Osas Uwadiae, the Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Lands and Housing as Commissioner.
“Also, Mr Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, Commissioner for Lands and Housing, is appointed as Chief of Staff to the Governor, Governor’s Office.
“Alhaji Gani Audu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, is nominated to resume as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo House of Assembly,” the SSG said.
According to SSG, this minor cabinet reshuffle is with immediate effect.
Mr Ikhilor noted that the governor expressed confidence that these strategic adjustments would further enhance coordination, policy implementation, and effective governance in the state.
