Chelsea continued their impressive start under head coach Liam Rosenoir as the Blues pulled off a remarkable comeback to beat West Ham United 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.

The result meant that Chelsea temporarily moved to fourth in the Premier League, pending the outcome of the match between Manchester United and Fulham on Sunday.

Jarrod Bowen put West Ham ahead seven minutes into the clash after Pablo confused goalkeeper Robert Sanchez with a fake attempt to touch the ball to allow a curled effort from the England international to head into the net.

In the midst of trying to restore parity, the visitors doubled their lead in the 36th minute through Crysencio Summerville, who slotted a cutback pass by Aaron Wan-Bissaka into the box from close range to go into halftime with a massive advantage.

Rosenoir made three tactical changes on resumption of the second half, with Alejandro making way for João Pedro, Marc Cucurella replacing Jorrel Hato, and Benoit Badiashile being subbed off for Wesley Fofana.

The changes immediately proved productive, with Fofana putting in a nice cross into the box, which Pedro headed into the net to reduce the deficit for the Blues, barely 10 minutes into the game.

In the 70th minute, Cucurella equalised for Chelsea when he lunged to nod home a loose ball inside the West Ham 18-yard box, which apparently motivated the hosts to go for a win with more than 20 minutes to play.

It paid off in the second minute of added time when Enzo Fernandez latched onto a pass from Pedro inside the box to complete the dramatic victory for Chelsea.

A late brawl involving players from both teams saw West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo sent off after VAR alerted the referee to the incident in which the Frenchman grabbed Pedro by the throat.

Across all competitions, Chelsea have won six of their seven matches under Rosenoir as head coach, with one ending in defeat.
