Endorsement of Tinubu, Radda by Katsina people wise decision: Deputy Senate President
Deputy Senate President Barau Jibril says the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Radda by the people of Katsina is a wise political decision.
He stated this on Monday in Katsina at a gathering to endorse Tinubu and Radda for a second term in 2027. The occasion was organised by the Concerned Katsina APC Stakeholders.
Mr Jibril recalled that when the incumbent president came on board, he met so many challenges in the country.
“These challenges were not peculiar to Nigeria. They have a global dimension. They gave rise to the high costs of commodities. He, however, worked hard in dealing with the problems.
“We should allow him to continue so that by the end of the day, he will turn this country to an Eldorado. This is what he what he wants to do,” said the politician.
According to him, the president has been doing well, which is why many people were turning to the APC.
He also said that he had gone round states in the country and had seen with his own eyes that Mr Radda was among the best governors in the country.
“He has done so much in the area of health, education, roads and others. He has done very well. It is a sound decision to come out and endorse someone who has done well.
“Katsina is known for excellence in politics, traditional institutions, and the military. Today, it has shown that it is in a high political awareness by coming out en masse to endorse Tinubu and Radda,” Mr Jibril said.
Also, the director of media and publicity of Tinubu Radda Assured, Hamza Umar-Saulawa, said the group was convinced of the capacity of the president and governor to transform the country’s and the state’s economies if given a chance to serve for another term.
Mr Umar-Saulawa particularly commended the infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic development initiatives being implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr Tinubu and the ‘Building Your Future’ agenda of Mr Radda.
