The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), on Thursday, condemned the attack carried out by gunmen on villages in central and northern Nigeria.

Expressing the organisation’s disdain to terrorism, OIC general secretary, Hissein Brahim Taha, commiserated with families of victims, the Nigerian government, as well as the Nigerian people.

The organisation declared its support for the Nigerian government in combating the spate of terrorism in the country.

“The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attacks carried out by gunmen on Tuesday, 03 February 2026, on villages in central and northern Nigeria, which left dozens of innocent people dead and injured,” OIC statement read.

It added, “While reiterating its firm position in condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, the General Secretariat also affirmed its full support and solidarity with the government and people of Nigeria in confronting terrorism and extremism.”

Similarly, the Republic of Türkiye, on Thursday, condemned the terrorist attack on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country expressed heartfelt sorrow over the loss of human lives claimed by the incident.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by the terrorist attack that took place in Nigeria’s Kwara state,” the statement said.

“We strongly condemn this heinous attack and extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the people of Nigeria,” it added.

The Republic of Türkiye, however, pledged to support Nigeria in eradicating terrorism.

“Türkiye will continue to support Nigeria in its fight against terrorism,” the statement said.

Earlier, the Peoples Gazette reported that terrorists attacked Kwara’s Nuku and Worro’s communities for refusing to accept a strange extreme doctrine.

Following the incident, President Bola Tinubu approved the immediate deployment of an army battalion to execute counter-offensives in the affected areas.
