Iranian security official to visit Oman after Iran-U.S. nuclear talks

Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), is set to visit the Omani capital of Muscat on Tuesday, according to Nour News, an outlet affiliated with the SNSC.
Mr Larijani will lead a delegation and is expected to hold talks with senior Omani officials on regional and international developments, as well as bilateral relations, the outlet reported on Monday.
The visit follows Oman’s hosting and mediation of a round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the U.S. on Friday.
With tensions between Tehran and Washington remaining high, Oman is widely seen as a possible venue for future talks.
Speaking at a news conference in Tehran on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said the timing and location of the next round of nuclear negotiations would be decided through consultations with Oman.
