Firefighters rescue 23- year-old woman from Kano well

The Kano State Fire Service has rescued a 23 -year-old woman, Ladidi Muhammad-Sani, who fell into a well at Gurungawa, in Kumbotso Local Government Area.
The Director of Kano State Fire Service, Sani Anas, made the disclosure in a statement by the service Public Relations Officer, Saminu Abdullahi on Tuesday in Kano.
He said, “We received a distress call from Lawan Aminu, Tuesday morning that a woman had fallen inside well. Upon receiving the report, we immediately sent our rescue team to the scene and the victim was rescued alive and subsequently handed over to her father.”
According to Mr Abdullahi, the incident is currently under investigation.
He, however, urged members of the public to take necessary safety precautions around open wells and other hazardous areas in order to prevent any future occurrence.
