Lagos: APC, Jandor celebrate ex-Deputy Governor Sarah Sosan at 70

The All Progressives Congress in Lagos on Wednesday congratulated former Deputy Governor Sarah Sosan on her 70th birthday.
The APC spokesman in Lagos, Seye Oladejo, applauded Ms Sosan’s remarkable journey in public service, which, he said, remained a source of pride to the party and the people.
“As deputy governor from 2007 to 2011, she served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of our dear state.
“Her tenure was marked by purposeful leadership, steadfast loyalty to progressive ideals, and impactful contributions to governance, particularly in the advancement of education and community development.
“A seasoned educationist and grassroots mobiliser, Mrs Sosan has consistently demonstrated that leadership is best expressed through service. Her passion for empowering women, mentoring young leaders, and strengthening party structures across the state has left an enduring legacy within the APC and beyond,” Mr Oladejo said.
According to him, at 70, Ms Sosan stands tall as a symbol of humility, resilience, and principled leadership.
He said that Ms Sosan’s life reflected the values of discipline, service, and commitment to the welfare of the people.
“On behalf of the leadership and members of the Lagos State APC, we celebrate her achievements, honour her sacrifices, and express our profound gratitude for her continued guidance and support.
“We pray that Almighty God grants her many more years in good health, peace, and fulfilment as she continues to inspire generations of leaders,” he said.
In a separate congratulatory statement, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, aka Jandor, also congratulated Ms Sosan on her 70th birthday.
Mr Adediran, a 2027 Lagos APC governorship aspirant, in a statement by his spokesman, Gbenga Ogunleye, described Ms Sosan as a distinguished educationist, seasoned administrator, and committed public servant.
He said that Ms Sosan’s tenure as deputy governor was marked by diligence, grace, and unwavering dedication to the progress of the state.
“Her contributions to educational development and good governance remain noteworthy and impactful. Aunty mi, as you celebrate this remarkable milestone, I join family, friends, and well-wishers across Lagos to honour your legacy of service and integrity.
“May God grant you continued good health, strength, and fulfilment in the years ahead,” Mr Adediran said.
