Wife of  Anambra governor, Nonye Soludo, on Saturday, called on Nigerians to demonstrate genuine love and kindness  toward one another.

She urged them to do this as part of activities marking this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration.

Valentine’s Day, observed every February 14, is celebrated by expressing love and affection through messages and gestures shared with partners, family members and friends

Mrs Soludo, founder, Healthy Living initiative in a goodwill message in Awka, however, emphasised that love should go beyond the annual celebration.

She urged citizens to show care and generosity at all times, especially to those in need.

The governor’s wife described true love as one expressed through kindness, compassion and selfless actions toward others.

“Acts of love, no matter how small, can leave lasting positive impacts on individuals and communities.

“I encourage families and friends to use the occasion to strengthen bonds while also extending kindness to people around them,” she said.

She further advised residents to ensure that their words and actions reflect goodwill, humanity and affection.

According to her, the society becomes better when people embrace empathy and mutual respect.

She then wished residents a joyful Valentine’s Day celebration and urged them to spread love across communities.
