Tinubu graces Argungun fishing festival

President Bola Tinubu, on Saturday, graced the 61st Argungun International Fishing Festival in Kebbi State.
Sunday Dare, a spokesperson for Mr Tinubu’s government, on X, announced Mr Tinubu’s arrival at the festival on Saturday.
“Birni Kebbi. Argungu is ready for Mr. President! A festival such as the Argungu Festival, with international color and originality, must be developed to rank among the most celebrated in the world. A delight to see many tourists around in Argungu as the President arrives,” Mr Dare said.
Mr Tinubu, who was flanked on the left-hand side by Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma, was spotted expressing surprise as a big fish caught was scaled.
The Argungun Fishing Festival, now recognised as an international festival, features hundreds of fishermen catching fish in the Argungun River, while a panel weighs the biggest fish caught.
The fisherman whose fish has the highest weight emerges as the winner of the festival every year.
