Bodinga resumes as Kwara NSCDC commandant

Bala Bodinga has resumed duty as the 15th substantive state commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara.
His deployment was approved by commandant-general, Ahmed Audi, to boost operational effectiveness across the state.
In a statement issued in Ilorin by the command’s public relations officer, Ayoola Shola, Mr Bodinga warned criminals to leave Kwara.
The new commandant declared that vandals, illegal miners and economic saboteurs would find no refuge under his leadership.
He said: “Kwara is not and will not be a safe haven for criminals.
“Those who engage in vandalism or sabotage of government infrastructure will face the full weight of the law.
“We are fully prepared, operationally and strategically, to deal decisively with offenders.”
Mr Bodinga stressed that the command would not tolerate destruction of critical national assets, pipeline vandalism or any form of criminality.
He assured residents of the corps’ commitment to safeguarding lives and property and strengthening intelligence-led operations.
The commandant pledged closer collaboration with security agencies, traditional rulers and community leaders to enhance peace across the state.
He urged the public to remain vigilant and provide credible information to support efforts to combat crime.
Mr Bodinga previously served as state commandant in Kebbi, Jigawa and Kano.
He also served in the special forces at the national headquarters in Sauka, Abuja.
