A drone strike by Iranian forces sparked a fire outbreak near the U.S. consulate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday amid an escalating crisis between the U.S., Israel, and the Islamic Republic.

The Government of Dubai Media Office confirmed the drone strike in a statement on X on Tuesday.

“Dubai authorities have confirmed that a fire resulting from a drone-related incident near the U.S. Consulate has been successfully contained,” the statement reads.

Dubai authorities said there was no injury recorded as a result of the drone strike, adding, “Emergency teams responded immediately.”

Earlier on Tuesday, the U.S. embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was hit by two drones as Iranian forces intensify retaliatory attacks targeted at American bases and embassies across the Middle East.

Amid an escalating crisis on Monday, the U.S. alerted its citizens to immediately leave Middle East countries over safety risks.

Iran has fired several missiles and drones at U.S. bases in the Middle East after the first day of “Operation Epic Fury,” launched by U.S. and Israeli forces on Saturday, which killed Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

At least 40 members of Mr Khamenei’s regime were killed in airstrikes over the weekend.

Mr Trump attributed Saturday’s attack to Iran’s nuclear weapons, saying America will never allow Iran to own them.

Meanwhile, another group of Iranian officials were bombed as they cast votes to decide who replaces Mr Khamenei on Tuesday.
