NPFL: Shooting Stars edge Wikki Tourists 3–2 in Ibadan thriller

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Oyo State, defeated Wikki Tourists of Bauchi 3–2 on Sunday in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 30 clash.
The match was played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
The Ibadan side have won six consecutive home matches, climbing to fourth with 47 points from 30 league games.
Sodiq Ibrahim opened scoring in the 16th minute after Ayobami Junior’s assist.
Wikki Tourists responded in the 35th minute when Abba Musa struck to level the match.
Lucky Emmanuel restored Shooting Stars’ lead in the 44th minute, finishing another chance created by Ayobami Junior before half-time.
John Taiwo equalised for Wikki Tourists in the 53rd minute after a clinical finish from Jonathan Mairiga’s assist.
Al-Ameen headed home in the 88th minute from Ayobami Junior’s corner to seal a hard-fought victory for Shooting Stars.
Shooting Stars occupy fourth place behind Nasarawa United, level on points but separated by goal difference.
