Soludo inaugurated as Anambra governor for second term

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, was on Tuesday inaugurated for a second term in office.
Mr Soludo was sworn in at 11.55a.m., after his deputy, Dr Onyekachi Ibezim, was sworn in earlier by the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu.
He arrived Ekwueme Square, with
Vice-President Kashim Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former President Goodluck Jonathan, to a tumultuous reception.
The incoming governor dressed in an orange attire, with a red cap to match.
Mr Soludo’s inauguration was witnessed by thousands of well-wishers, among whom were a former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Emeka Anyaoku, Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, Nigeria’s first female governor, Virginia Etiaba and a former governor of the state, Chris Ngige.
Others are Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, deputy governors of Delta, Enugu, Imo, Kaduna and Ebonyi states, wife of Nigeria’s first executive vice president, Dr Alex Ekwueme, Ifeoma Ekwueme, national leaders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) lawmakers, traditional, religious leaders and other dignitaries.
