Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Football Association, Mouktar Mohammed, has felicitated Muslims across the world on the celebration of eid-el-fitr.

This is contained in a statement by Uche Nwudoh for the association’s Media and Public Relations Committee, on Friday in Abuja.

Mr Mohammed urged Muslims to uphold the spirit of eid by promoting tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.

He described eid, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, “as a period that reflects the enduring values of compassion, unity, sacrifice and gratitude.”

He stated, “The celebration provides an opportunity for individuals and communities to renew their faith, strengthen bonds of brotherhood and extend generosity to those in need.

”The lessons of patience, humility and self-discipline learned during Ramadan should serve as a guide in building a more just and harmonious society.”

He commended the faithful for their devotion throughout the fasting period and prayed that their supplications and sacrifices be graciously accepted.

The chairman further stated that eid should “inspire peace, prosperity and renewed hope for families, communities and the nation at large.”

He also urged Nigerians to uphold the spirit of eid by promoting tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.

He advised them to imbibe the spirit of lending support for the less-privileged through acts of kindness and charity.

He added, “May this sacred occasion brings abundant blessings, good health and lasting happiness and fosters a sustained commitment to unity, compassion and service to humanity.”
