Igbo ‘boys’ supporting Tinubu’s City Boy Movement are city fools: Cleric

A Catholic priest serving at Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish in Dunukofia, Anambra State, Chibuzo Obimma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso, has said the realisation of a Biafra Republic by South-East agitators cannot be without “war.”
He also berated the Igbo supporting President Bola Tinubu’s City Boy Movement.
In a video of his sermon seen on social media on Tuesday, the cleric said the struggle for Biafra Republic cannot happen without war or revolution.
“Anyone who want to deliver a nation is taking a risk. That risk may end in death but your vision and mission will be realised just like the struggle of Nnamdi Kanu today. There cannot be a Biafra without war and revolution,” he said.
Berating supporters of Mr Tinubu’s City Boy Movement in the South-East, he said “You see Igbo boys claiming to be city boys, those are city fools who could not see beyond their physical needs.”
The cleric lamented what he termed silence from men of God in the country amid soaring fuel pump prices and its effects on the economy.
He added, “Yesterday, l was just praying and a thought came into me- maybe Tinubu is using one kingdom to silence Nigeria that nobody is bothered even if the price of fuel skyrockets to N5,000 per litre, everybody is quiet.
“Can’t you see that something is wrong somewhere? Men of God all over Nigeria are silent. I’m waiting to see people who will stand and say Nigeria must end but no people are comfortable with it.”
Mr Obi ‘Cubana’ Iyiegbu, the coordinator of the City Boy Movement in the South-East could not be reached for comments.
His mobile was unavailable as of the time this report was filed.
The cleric’s comments dogged the fuel pump price surge to N1370 from N850 due to disruption in global oil and gas market triggered by the U.S.-Israel and Iran war since February 28.
Also, Mr Tinubu’s City Boy campaign has commenced mobilisation across six geopolitical zones of the country with some Igbo such as Obi Cubana leading the campaign in the South-East.
