The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the commencement of its electronic membership registration across the country.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the exercise would take place in all wards and designated locations nationwide.

He urged existing members to validate their membership, while encouraging new members to register and join the party.

“As the electronic membership registration exercise resumes in all wards and designated locations nationwide, we urge existing members to validate their membership while new members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family”, Mr Morka said

He added that prospective registrants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) before enrolling.

According to him, the e-registration is aimed at digitising the party’s membership database, ensuring the integrity of records, and improving access to data for planning and decision-making.

Mr Morka also noted that the initiative was expected to promote internal democracy and strengthen the party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria.
