Ye returns, performs first full U.S. live show since 2021’s antisemitic outbursts

American rapper Ye formerly known as Kanye West has made his first full live performance in the United States since 2021, following years of backlash over his antisemitic behaviour.
The show was held on Wednesday in a 70,000 capacity venue, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Performing for two hours, in the sold-out show, Ye delivered songs from his new album ‘Bully’ and older hits such as ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’, ‘Power’ and ‘Runaway’.
The show had other performances from Ye’s daughter, North West, and American rapper Caleb Zackary, popularly known as Don Toliver.
Ye had not done any major live performances in the U.S. since his fallout from his 2022 antisemitic posts.
The songwriter posted a tweet at the time saying he would go “death con 3” on Jewish people and later made statements praising German despot Adolf Hitler.
In his tweet, he used Nazi imagery, including a swastika-themed merchandise, a black hooked cross in a white circle on a red field, designed by Hitler.
His statements drew backlash from fans, leading him to lose several major fashion and business partnerships, including Adidas, Balenciaga, and Yeezy.
In January 2025, he apologised for what he described as “reckless” behaviour, blaming his untreated bipolar disorder and the brain injury he sustained in his 2002 car crash.
