Easter: FRSC deploys personnel, operational logistics in Niger

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Niger Command, says it has deployed personnel and operational logistics across the state to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration.
The corps sector commander, Aishat Saadu, disclosed this in a statement issued in Minna on Saturday.
Ms Saadu stated that the command had already commenced its 2026 Easter Special Patrol operations to ensure a hitch-free celebration across the state.
“So, in line with this objective, the Command has deployed 11 patrol vehicles, one towing truck and adequate personnel to strategic locations across the state.
“The Unit and the Outpost Commands have been fully mobilised and activated to enhance operational coverage, quick response to emergencies and effective traffic management.”
The sector commander noted that the operation would focus on sustained patrol and traffic control, rapid clearance of road obstructions, public enlightenment and advocacy, as well as strict enforcement of traffic laws.
She urged motorists to avoid speeding and dangerous driving, as well as ensure their vehicles were roadworthy.
The sector commander also urged motorists to ensure strict compliance with all traffic rules and regulations, as well as cooperate with Corps operatives on duty for a seamless celebration.
She reassured the public of the Corps’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property on the expressways and urged road users to utilise the Corps emergency number, 122, in case of any distress.
The sector commander wished all residents and road users a safe and peaceful Easter celebration.
