Lagos lawmaker rallies support for Tinubu’s re-election

A Lagos State lawmaker and other political stakeholders from Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 in the state have expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
At a stakeholders’ meeting tagged “Renewed Hope Easter Fiesta in Lagos”, Temitope Adedeji, who represents Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, expressed support for the President’s re-election bid.
He cited Mr Tinubu’s achievements and good policies as the reasons for the support.
Mr Adedeji also said that the constituency was committed to supporting the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We are here in support of the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We want Ifako-Ijaiye 1 to deliver the highest number of votes in Lagos State.”
He said that the continuity of the President’s administration beyond 2027 was important for consolidating the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Mr Adedeji said that the president’s achievements positioned him strongly for a second term.
He highlighted some of the Lagos State government’s achievements in the constituency, including the construction of a befitting stadium.
He also listed the rehabilitation of 90 roads among the achievements.
The lawmaker said that the government had also provided welfare packages, medical outreaches, education support, widows’ empowerment, and skill acquisition programmes in the community.
Mr Adedeji called on members of the constituency to register for and collect their Permanent Voter Cards to enable them to vote in the next elections.
The lawmaker also distributed more than 500 50kg bags of rice, chickens, and cash to members of his constituency.
Kamorudeen Sunmonu, a former deputy chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, praised the lawmaker for the gesture.
Mr Sunmonu urged the lawmaker to continue supporting members of his constituency.
On Mr Tinubu’s re-election bid, he said, “He has performed well, especially in his reforms. We are ready to support his re-election.”
