Christians in Ondo need to be humble, holy: Speaker Oladiji

The speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, has urged Christians to work in the overall interest of the state by pursuing peace, endurance and unity.
Mr Oladiji gave the advice in an Easter message to Christians on Sunday in Akure. He urged Christians to emulate Jesus Christ in sacrifice, peace and unity.
“As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter today, I urge them to reflect on the resurrection of Jesus Christ by showing love to one another.
“There is the need for them to imbibe the spirit of humility and holiness as exemplified by Jesus Christ,” he said.
Mr Oladiji wished the Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration.
He restated the need for them to remain steadfast in faith and committed to values that foster a better society.
The Ondo assembly speaker prayed that the resurrection of Jesus Christ would continue to bring happiness to all and sundry.
Mr Oladiji thanked Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for “the various landmark achievements recorded by his administration since the assumption of office”.
