Governor Okpebholo praises Edo assembly’s unity

Governor Monday Okpebholo has thanked Edo House of Assembly members for their support and harmonious working relationship with his administration.
According to a statement by the governor’s chief press secretary, Patrick Ebojele, on Sunday, Mr Okpebholo spoke after an Easter visit by the speaker of the assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, and other lawmakers to his residence in Irrua, in the Esan Central LGA.
The Edo governor commended the assembly’s contributions to Edo’s progress, highlighting the construction of the state’s first flyover.
Mr Okpebholo attributed the success to unity and synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms of government. He said the collaboration enabled his administration to implement policies and achieve set goals.
Mr Okpebholo urged lawmakers to sustain the peaceful atmosphere and cooperation for continued development.
“I am very happy that since I assumed office in November 2024, you created a peaceful atmosphere for my administration.
“When the House is united, and there is no division, there is always a pass mark to show the Edo people,” he said.
Mr Agbebaku reaffirmed the assembly’s support for the governor’s policies and programmes. The speaker pledged to approve budgets and collaborate with the Executive to implement the SHINE agenda.
