Pillars crush Bendel Insurance 4-0 in Kano

Kano Pillars Football Club delivered a clinical display, defeating Bendel Insurance 4-0 in a Week 33 Nigerian Professional Football League clash on Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar-Mata.
The match drew a large crowd, with fans enjoying an early flurry of goals.
Mustafa Jibrin opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, before Chidozie Okorie doubled the lead 10 minutes later, sending the home supporters into jubilation.
Bendel Insurance struggled to regain composure as Kano Pillars dominated possession and dictated play throughout the encounter.
The hosts continued their offensive onslaught in the second half, with Muhammad Aminu and Bernard Ovoke adding goals in the 81st and 85th minutes to seal a resounding victory.
In a post-match interview, Kano Pillars head coach Babangaru Muhammad commended his players for executing the team’s game plan effectively.
Muhammad added that the team had reflected on their previous disappointing outing and made the necessary adjustments.
“We sat down as a team and addressed the issues from our last performance. I am grateful to God that today we managed to win convincingly.
“The high goal margin is very important for our survival this season,” he explained.
The coach further stressed the need for focus and discipline as the league progresses.
Kano Pillars, who occupy 14th place on the league table, now have 42 points from 33 matches.
