Entertainment, security stakeholders meet to tackle insecurity

Stakeholders in Nigeria’s creative and security sectors will converge to explore innovative approaches to tackling insecurity.
Chuks Akamadu, CEO of the Nigeria Entertainment and Economic Roundtable, disclosed this in a statement.
Mr Akamadu said the initiative would also create strategies for accelerating Nigeria’s economic diversification as a pathway to strengthening national security.
The roundtable was scheduled to hold in Abuja on April 14.
Mr Akamadu said the roundtable would convene policymakers, industry leaders, development partners, investors, members of the diplomatic community and key stakeholders in the tourism, culture, and creative sectors.
According to him, these key stakeholders are expected to deliberate on strategies for accelerating Nigeria’s economic diversification as a pathway to strengthening national security.
“The roundtable will explore how cultural identity, youth engagement in creative industries, and tourism development can contribute to social cohesion and long-term security outcomes.
“A major highlight of the Roundtable will be the signing of a landmark memorandum of understanding with the National Bureau of Statistics to institutionalise comprehensive data tracking of tourism and creative industries’ contributions to Nigeria’s national economy across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT,” Mr Akamadu explained.
