Nasarawa APC lawmakers urge support for Tinubu

Lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly have urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu beyond 2027.
Suleiman Azara, the majority leader of the assembly, stated this while briefing journalists shortly after the party’s 10th caucus meeting on Wednesday in Lafia.
Mr Azara, who represents Awe South constituency, said that continued support for Mr Tinubu would enable Nigerians to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
He said the meeting reviewed the recently conducted APC congresses in the state, expressing satisfaction with the outcome.
The majority leader congratulated those who emerged as party leaders at various levels. According to him, the caucus also deliberated on preparations for the party’s forthcoming primary elections.
“We have confidence in our party leadership at all levels and will continue to support and work in synergy with them,” he said.
Mr Azara added that the meeting also focused on strengthening unity, peace and progress within the party in Nasarawa.
“We discussed a range of issues involving unity, peace and progress of the party. As lawmakers, we are united and will remain loyal to the party in the state,” he said.
Mr Azara explained that the lawmakers also endorsed the party’s arrangements regarding the mode of primaries, noting that decisions taken by party leaders and stakeholders remained binding.
“We have agreed to remain loyal to our leaders and the party’s position in the interest of unity, peace, progress and development,” he added.
Mr Azara assured that APC lawmakers would continue to collaborate with stakeholders and party members across constituencies to ensure the party’s victory beyond 2027.
He also reaffirmed their commitment to teamwork and cooperation with the executive arm for the overall development of Nasarawa.
The meeting was attended by the speaker of the assembly, Danladi Jatau, deputy speaker Muhammad Oyanki, and other APC lawmakers.
