Armed robbers attacked my family, after me over money donated for Taiwo’s burial, Kehinde Adegbodu cries out

Kehinde Adegbodu, surviving member of the Yoruba gospel duo Adegbodu twins, has alleged that armed men invaded his home after the burial of his twin brother, Taiwo, in search of funeral donations from a crowdfunding led by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele.
Speaking in a Facebook video on Thursday, Mr Adegbodu said he was away in Osun when the men stormed the family’s house around 9:00 p.m., eight days after his brother’s burial.
According to him, his late brother’s wife called him in fear, saying the intruders were demanding his whereabouts and some of his brother’s valuables.
“She said some armed persons came to the house asking, ‘Where is Kehinde? Where is Taiwo’s room? Where are his golds? Where is Taiwo’s phone?’”
Mr Adegbodu said the men also demanded his car key and searched his room after learning he was not at home.
“They entered my room, stole my clothes and shoes. I’m grateful they did not hurt the children and wives. They stole all their phones and the money.”
The gospel singer said one of the intruders allegedly placed a phone call to report to someone that he was not around.
The 46-year-old artiste said, “I feel those who came to the house came because they thought the money Ayefele crowd-funded for us is still with me.
“I want to post the amount that came in and how we spent the money. I will post all the receipts. We just used the money to complete the house so we could bury him there. Those who thought my brother’s death had made me a millionaire, you lied. Please, we are mourning.”
Taiwo Adegbodu died on March 1 and was buried in Ibadan on April 1, following a service of songs on March 30.
