Gov Oborevwori reshuffles cabinet as two commissioners resign

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Friday made a minor reshuffle of his cabinet as commissioners resigned to pursue their political ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The reshuffling was announced in a statement by Charles Aniagwu, Commissioner for Works (rural roads) and Public Information.
Accordingly, Princess Pat Ajudua, the commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, is to oversee the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development, while the Commissioner for Housing, Godknows Angele, is to supervise the Ministry of Youth Development with immediate effect.
Mr Aniagwu said the development became necessary following the resignations of the former commissioner for humanitarian affairs, community support services and girl child development, Ms Orode Uduaghan, and the commissioner for youth development, Mr ThankGod Trakiriowei.
“They resigned to pursue their political ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections. The former commissioners stepped down to contest seats in the Delta State House of Assembly,” Mr Aniagwu said.
He said Mr Oborevwori appreciated the former commissioners for their patriotic services to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He added that the new supervisory arrangements took immediate effect, pending further announcements by the state government.
