Police investigate disappearance of Abuja female corps member Linda Ameh

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has commenced a probe into the reported disappearance of a female corps member, Linda Eunice Ameh.
Ms Ameh, a lawyer who is currently undergoing her national youth service in Abuja, was last seen on Wednesday evening while leaving her workplace.
The missing corps member recently secured a job as a sales manager with Blades and Butchers Ltd., a company involved in the sale of livestock and related value-added products, located on Lake Chad Crescent in Maitama.
The corps member, who resides at a corpers’ lodge in the Life Camp area of Abuja, resumed work at the company about two weeks before her disappearance.
The National Youth Service Corps management is yet to issue an official statement concerning her disappearance.
When contacted on Friday, the spokesperson for the scheme, Caroline Embu, did not return calls to her telephone line or respond to a message sent to her WhatsApp by Peoples Gazette.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, told The Gazette on Friday that the police immediately commenced an investigation into Ms Ameh’s disappearance following a report by a fellow staff member at Blades and Butchers Ltd.

She noted that upon receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, “ordered a detailed investigation into the matter.”
The police further urged anyone with useful information that may assist the investigation or aid in locating Ms Ameh to promptly report to the nearest police station or contact the FCT Police Command through the command’s Public Relations Officer via: 07038979348.
