2027: APC clears Kogi assembly speaker, others

The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 candidates’ screening committee in Kogi State has cleared the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Aliyu Yusuf, and other aspirants for the 2027 elections.
The exercise, held on Saturday in Lokoja, also screened other House of Assembly aspirants.
Speaking to journalists after screening, Mr Yusuf described the process as “seamless”.
He commended the APC leadership in the state for commitment to a hitch-free and transparent selection process.
He also praised Governor Ahmed Ododo for his commitment to providing an enabling environment for effective party governance.
He applauded the APC state chairman, Mr Momoh Ezzu, for demonstrating expertise in party administration.
He said the credible process showed the APC remained a strong platform for elections and a party of the masses.
“We have confidence in those fielded by the party to sustain a winning streak beyond the polls,” he said.
