Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says Türkiye has no food security concerns despite ongoing regional tensions and conflicts.

Mr Erdogan stated this on Wednesday at a World Farmers’ Day event in Ankara.

He said the Turkish government remained vigilant to ensure that regional conflicts, particularly developments affecting Iran and Gulf countries did not disrupt the country’s agricultural production.

“We had already secured fertilizer and fertilizer raw material supplies. Our fertilizer stocks are at sufficient levels,” he said.

The president added that Türkiye currently faced no food security challenges due to government agricultural planning and support policies.

According to him, measures put in place by the government have helped sustain agricultural production and maintain stability in the food supply across the country.
