Iheanacho wins Scottish League with Celtic

Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has won the Scottish league title with Celtic after his side defeated Hearts FC 3-1 to emerge champions of Scotland for the 56th time.
With 79 points before the final-day game against league leaders Hearts FC, Celtic needed all three points to win the league, and they achieved that with a dramatic comeback victory.
Hearts FC scored in the 42nd minute when Shankland’s strike beat the Celtic goalkeeper to send the home fans into a frenzy.
But Celtic levelled just before half-time through Engels’ well-taken penalty.
Martin O’Neill’s men wrapped up the win with late goals from Meada and Osmand in the 86th and 97th minutes.
Former Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, came off the bench in the title-deciding game and almost found the back of the net, but his effort hit the woodwork.
Iheanacho had kept Celtic’s title hopes alive in the previous game against Motherwell, where he scored a 97th-minute penalty to give his side a 3-2 win, putting them just one point behind Hearts FC.
It is the first league title of Iheanacho’s career after spells with Manchester City and Leicester City, where he won the FA Cup and the EFL Championship titles.
