Arsenal clinched the 2025/26 Premier League title with a game to go after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth in a crucial encounter at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night. 

Junior Kroupi put Bournemouth ahead in the 39th minute, but City could not respond until deep into added time when Erling Haaland equalised for the visitors, but it was not enough to keep their title race alive. 

After a series of disappointing second-place finishes, Mikel Arteta has now led the Gunners across the finish line to secure Arsenal’s first league title since the 2003/04 season. 

The Gunners can still complete a double this season if they beat defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final later this month to win the competition for the first time in their history.

Last week’s FA Cup triumph over Chelsea and the Carabao Cup won in March are likely Pep Guardiola’s last two pieces of silverware in England, following reports that he is expected to leave City at the end of the season.
