Lagos judiciary mourns Justice Josephine Oyefeso

The statement noted that funeral arrangements would be announced by the family.

The Lagos State Judiciary has mourned Justice Josephine Oyefeso.

It stated that she died on May 15 aged 65.

A statement on Thursday said the announcement was made on behalf of the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba.

The judiciary described her death as a painful loss to the legal profession and the Lagos State Judiciary.

It said Ms Oyefeso served with dedication, integrity and commitment to the administration of justice throughout her judicial career.

According to the statement, she was widely respected for her diligence, fairness and strong sense of responsibility in adjudicating cases.

It said her contributions significantly impacted the development of the legal system in Lagos State.

It expressed condolences to her family, colleagues and associates over the loss.

“Hon. Justice Oyefeso served the judiciary with exceptional dedication, integrity and unwavering commitment to the administration of justice,” the statement said.

It added that she earned the respect of members of both the Bar and the Bench during her years of service.

The statement noted that funeral arrangements would be announced by the family.
