Haske sues for peace as Ribadu’s ally Galadima clinches APC ticket in Adamawa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant in the just-concluded governorship primary election in Adamawa, Abdurahman Haske, has called for peace following the exercise on Friday.
Ahmad Tijjani Galadima, who was backed by the national security adviser Nuhu Ribadu, clinched the ticket after securing 414,444 votes. While Abdulrazak Namdas came second with 86,004 votes, Mr Haske emerged third with a total of 65,424 votes.
In a statement released shortly after the exercise, Mr Haske thanked his supporters and urged them to remain calm amid consultations regarding the exercise.
“To our resilient and committed supporters across the 21 Local Government Areas of Adamawa State, we salute your courage, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment in standing by me throughout this governorship journey, from inception to the day of the direct primaries.
“Together, we fought a strong and determined battle with conviction, unity, and hope for a better Adamawa. This journey is far from over, and by the grace of Almighty Allah, we shall emerge stronger, more united, and more determined in the days ahead,” the politician stated.
Mr Haske noted that the collective pursuit of unity and development in the state must remain paramount despite the outcome of the exercise.
“Regardless of the outcome, our collective commitment to unity, progress, and the advancement of Adamawa State remains unwavering,” he added.
The politician assured supporters that updates would be communicated in due course concerning the next line of action.
