Presidential Primary: Tinubu secures 375,507 votes in Benue

President Bola Tinubu overwhelmingly won the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Benue with 375,507 votes.

Announcing the result at the state collation centre in Makurdi on Saturday, Governor Hyacinth Alia said Mr Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, who scored 779 votes.

Mr Alia explained that the president won in all the 23 local government areas of the state.

He said all procedures guiding the conduct of the election were duly followed during the exercise.

“I, Hyacinth Alia, State Collation Officer, hereby certify that the information contained in this form represents a true, correct and accurate record of the summary of results from the local governments in Benue, and I so sign it.

“So, by virtue of the votes cast, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged as the winner in Benue,” he said.
