Adamawa PDP adopts Maurice Vunoboki as governorship candidate

He was unanimously adopted by delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has adopted Maurice Vunoboki as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections in Adamawa State.

The party adopted Mr Vunoboki during its congress on Sunday, in Yola.

He was unanimously adopted by delegates from the 21 local government areas.

The chairman of the electoral committee, Debo Ologunagba, who presided over the exercise, confirmed the adoption after a motion was moved and seconded by delegates.

Mr Ologunagba thereafter pronounced Mr Vunoboki as the party’s candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

According to him, the exercise was observed and supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), alongside party stakeholders.

Earlier, the Aacting state chairman of the party, Belmond Dogo, said the decision followed consultations among acting local government chairmen and key stakeholders.

Mr Dogo explained that the congress was convened to formally ratify and announce Mr Vunoboki’s emergence as the party’s governorship flag bearer for 2027.
