NSCDC positions 2,000 officers across Kaduna for hitch-free celebration

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps says it has deployed 2,000 operatives to ensure adequate security during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations across Kaduna.
According to a statement on Monday by the NSCDC spokesman in Kaduna, Habeeb Badamasi, the commandant, Panam Musa, said the deployment was part of efforts to guarantee a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.
Mr Musa stated that 120 senior officers and 1,880 rank-and-file officers were stationed at prayer grounds, strategic locations, recreational centres, highways, and other critical areas across the state.
“The command has directed area commanders and divisional officers to intensify surveillance, strengthen intelligence gathering, and enforce crime prevention measures within their respective jurisdictions.
“Special attention has been given to major prayer grounds, public gathering points, and highway patrols through ‘Operation Fushin Kada’,” he said.
The commandant assured the command’s readiness to collaborate with other security agencies to maintain law and order throughout the festive period.
Mr Musa urged residents to remain vigilant and law-abiding, and to provide credible information to security agencies to facilitate a safe and peaceful celebration.
