Edo speaker urges Muslims to uphold unity, peace

The speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, has urged all Muslim faithful across Nigeria to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, faith, and unity as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message on Wednesday, Mr Agbebaku congratulated Muslims.
Mr Agbebaku said the occasion was a reminder of values that strengthened peaceful coexistence and national unity.
“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love, tolerance, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah.
“As we commemorate this sacred festival, I urge all Muslims to continue to uphold these noble values in our daily lives and to promote peaceful coexistence, unity, and mutual understanding among all citizens,” Mr Agbebaku said.
The speaker also called for compassion and generosity toward the less privileged during the celebrations. He stated that such acts are essential for building a more harmonious and prosperous Edo and Nigeria.
