“Gov. Inuwa showing quality leadership,” says Emir of Gombe

The Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu III, has lauded Governor Inuwa Yahaya for transformational leadership in the state.
He said this during a mini Sallah Durbar, locally known as “Jafi,” at his palace on Wednesday.
The durbar is part of activities to mark the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
Mr Shehu enjoined Muslim faithful to imbibe the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, patience and submission to the will of Allah as exemplified by Eid-el-Kabir.
He pledged continued support to sustain peace, security and socio-economic development in the state.
The emir lauded the governor for the feat achieved in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security and rural development in the last seven years.
Mr Shehu also lauded the creation of Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), adding that it would bring governance and development closer to the people.
He urged farmers to take advantage of the rainy season by returning to their farmlands, to boost food production and economic activities.
The emir admonished the youth to engage in productive ventures and shun acts capable of threatening peace and stability.
The durbar featured traditional dancing, cultural displays and horse riders dressed in traditional regalia.
Mr Yahaya, accompanied by top government officials, political leaders and other dignitaries, attended the colourful cultural event.
