U.S. federal judge busted for having sex with policeman in courthouse

Eleanor Ross, a U.S. federal judge, was busted and secretly reprimanded for having sex with a police officer in chambers during work hours.
An earlier report had stated that a special judicial conduct committee of the Eleventh Circuit found that a judge, who was not named in the report, engaged in sexual intercourse in “chambers and during business hours” over the course of a two-year relationship.
Bloomberg Law, in an exclusive report on Thursday, identified “Eleanor Ross as the federal district court judge who was subject to a private reprimand for having sex with a police officer in chambers in earshot of law clerks.”
The report stated that Mrs Ross “received a private reprimand for her misconduct, after the special committee created to investigate a law clerk’s allegations against her said she “has demonstrated a strong propensity for rehabilitation and continued diligent service to the judiciary.”
It added, “She also agreed to write apology letters to the former clerks interviewed during the investigation and not to serve as chief judge or in other judicial leadership roles.”
The police officer Mrs Ross had sex with in the chambers during work hours was also identified as Atlanta Police Department Deputy Chief Kelley Collier.
The duo, Mrs Ross and Mr Collier, reportedly did not reply to requests for comment, the report stated.
Mrs Ross, 58, of the Atlanta-based U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate in 2014.
