Kaduna ADC unveils senatorial flagbearers for 2027 elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State has concluded its primaries, unveiling three senatorial flagbearers for the 2027 general elections.
Chairman of the primary elections committee in Kaduna State, Ladan Salihu, announced the results at a press conference in Kaduna on Sunday.
Mr Salihu noted that the party had earlier conducted its presidential and governorship primaries, while the latest exercise covered senatorial, House of Representatives, and selected state House of Assembly primaries.
He said the successful conduct of the primaries reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy and a transparent candidate selection process.
According to him, all the winners are duly elected in line with party guidelines and will fly the ADC flag in the 2027 general elections.
“This is to certify that all aspirants listed in this release are duly elected winners of the various primary elections and are hereby declared candidates of the African Democratic Congress for the 2027 elections.
“For Kaduna North senatorial district, returning officer Ibrahim Sidi Bamalli declared Senator Khalid Ibrahim Mustafa Soba the winner after he polled 83,070 votes in an uncontested race.
“In Kaduna Central, returning officer, Abdullahi Chiromawa, announced Senator Lawal Adamu Usman as the winner with 47,488 votes, also unopposed.
“For Kaduna South, returning officer, Murtala Abubakar, said Godfrey Ali Gaya emerged winner with 28,378 votes, defeating Aminchi Abu, who scored 5,299 votes,” he said.
Mr Salihu expressed confidence that the candidates would boost the party’s prospects in the 2027 general elections.
